What thickness (micron) pallet wrap do I need?
As a general guide: 12-15um for light, evenly stacked loads; 17-20um for standard mixed pallets; 23-25um for heavy or sharp-edged loads; 30um+ for very heavy or irregular loads. Our most popular hand wrap is 23um, which handles most warehouse and dispatch work.
What's the difference between hand pallet wrap and machine stretch film?
Hand wrap comes on shorter rolls (commonly 500mm x 300m) applied manually or with a dispenser, and suits lower volumes. Machine film comes on long rolls for a pallet wrapping machine, uses higher pre-stretch, and becomes more cost-effective once you're wrapping many pallets a day.
Should I use clear or black pallet wrap?
Clear film lets you and couriers see the load and read labels. Black or opaque film hides contents for security and adds UV protection - good for valuable stock or pallets stored outdoors.
Do you sell biodegradable or recycled pallet wrap?
Yes - a 100% ultimately biodegradable stretch film, and Eco Infinity Premium Film made with 30% recycled content. Both wrap the same way as standard film.
Is pallet wrap recyclable?
Standard LLDPE stretch film is a soft plastic and generally isn't accepted kerbside, but clean, dry film can often go through commercial soft-plastic recycling streams. Check what your waste contractor accepts.
