Approved Alternatives to Single-Use Plastics Bans

In Australia, state and territory bans are being introduced alongside federal legislation, which came into effect in July 2022. Similarly, New Zealand is tackling single-use plastics through a two-stage plan to phase out hard-to-recycle plastics and disposable items.

Pakio is dedicated to supporting our customers in transitioning to eco-friendly packaging solutions that comply with state legislation and align with the Towards 2025 National Packaging Targets.

To keep our communities informed about the latest developments on single-use plastics, we have compiled a list of alternative, non-banned products below. This page will be regularly updated with the most current information.
